Poinsettia Christmas Shaker Card

Hello this is Nicky with you today on the Alex Syberia Designs blog and I have snowy white and sparkling Christmas shaker card to share with you.  I have used the following products:-

Brilliant Burst Hot Foil Plate

Joyful Poinsettia Die Set

Christmas Sentiments

Christmas Sentiments Die

Last week, I shared a card where I used the Brilliant Burst Hot Foil Plate.  I had hot foiled a full A2 panel and then die cut  a smaller panel from the centre.  This left me with a frame that was too pretty to throw away and so this became the basis for this shaker card.  I flipped the frame over and applied an acetate window to it.  I used dimensional foam tape around the frame and powdered the edge of it so that the filler wouldn’t stick to it and the contents would move freely around.  I set this aside for a few minutes and I used the Brilliant Burst plate to emboss a white A2 panel which I glued to my card base.   I then poured over a mixture of embellishments like stars and snowflakes and adhered the shaker window to seal in the contents.

I used white and mirrored silver cardstock and the Joyful Poinsettia Die to die cut all the pieces to create the Poinsettia. I glued the layers together and adhered it to the corner of the shaker window.

Last but not least I stamped the Season’s Greetings sentiment from the Christmas Sentiments stamp set.  I did this in a dark grey which worked well with the silver of the card and then I die cut using the coordinating die and adhered to the shaker window and with THAT, this Christmas card was complete and ready to mail out in December.

Thanks for stopping by, happy crafting!

Nicky
