Penguin Hugs & Kisses

Hello and welcome to the Alex Syberia Designs blog, this is Nicky with you today and I’m sharing a sweet card that I’ve made using products from the brand new release which is now available in the shop.

Here is a list of links to the products used:-

Heart Garland Cover Die

Penguin Love

Penguin Love Dies

Winter Foliage Die Set

Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set

Thanks & Hugs Die

Good Day Quilted Rectangles Die Set

To create the card I took a pink A2 panel of cardstock and I used the Heart Garland Cover Die to die cut it.  I also die cut a white and pale blue panel with it so that I could use some of the little hearts but of course I retained the panel for future use with each of them.  I adhered the pink panel to my card base then framed it out in white using the Good Day Quilted Rectangles Die Set.  This was applied popped up on foam tape.

I die cut the little scalloped panel and ink blended with a little Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink and I stamped the sentiment from the Penguin Love stamp set.  I applied this to the main background with foam tape.

I also used the Winter Foliage die to die cut and add some ‘greenery’ and berries to the corners of the little focal panel and I used the new Thanks & Hugs die to die cut the word hugs and adhered the two pieces together than to the card.

I stamped the single penguin image from Penguin Love and coloured with the following Copic markers:-

Penguin – T6, T5, T4, T2, RV10, C3, C1, C00, YR07, Y19

Blush – R22, R21, R00

The image was die cut and applied with foam tape and then I highlighted some points with a white gel pen.

For the finishing touches I glued some of the little white and blue hearts in their designated positions and I found teeny tiny sparkling clear sequins in my stash and I carefully applied some icy sparkle to the ‘greenery’ and with that ….. this love card was complete!

I appreciate you stopping by to read the blog today and I’ll be back a week from today with something brand new.

Nicky
