Hello, this is Nicky with you today on the Alex Syberia Designs blog and I’m sharing the steps I took to create this sweet birthday card. To create it, I used the following products:-
Abstract Floral Background Press Plate
Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set
To create the card I took a panel of pale pink cardstock and I used the Abstract Floral Background Press Plate to emboss the panel rather than using my BetterPress Platform. This is just yet another way of using your Press Plates and getting more out of them. You will need to research what the best ‘sandwich’ is for your particular die cutting machine. I glued this panel to a slightly larger white card base.
I took some white cardstock and more of the same pink cardstock and used the Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set to create the two small panels. With the white one, I stamped the sentiment from the Panda stamp set then glued the panel to the embossed background. The pink die cut was stamped with the hanging ‘baubles on strings’ and adhered with white craft foam behind it and set higher so as not to cover the sentiment. I came in with Stickles glitter glue and added a generous rounded amount to each circle and left it to dry.
I stamped two of the Pandas from the Cheerful Panda Moments stamp set and I coloured with Copic markers. I used C3, C1, C0, C00 and R000 to shade their white areas and R22, R21, R20, R00 to blush their cheeks. The balloon used the same combination as their cheeks and I added a party hat too! I highlighted with a white gel pen, backed them with dimensional foam tape and applied them. I highlighted the Pandas and then this birthday card was ready to send out!
Thank you for stopping by to read the blog today and happy crafting!
