Hello friends. Glitter, glamor and big bows are all the rage for the holiday season. Look at this beautiful glittery bow by Alex Syberia Designs. It’s so gorgeous and so big. This 5″ X 7″ card is filled with this gorgeous bow! I made a present with one big bow on the top! Of course, I had to add a little more “merry” to the card using the following products from the latest Bow Ho Ho release:
Christmas Sparkle Mix cardstock
and from previous releases:
This 5″ X 7″ card is made from Neenah 80lb white cardstock for the card base and front panel.
To make this card, I started by making this big red glittery bow using the Classic Bow Die Set and red glitter cardstock from the Christmas Sparkle Mix cardstock. I used my paper cutter to cut straight strips of the glitter for ribbon strips around the present. To make the gift box, I used a soft, pretty pink cardstock and the Sparkly Flakes Cover Die to make the “gift-wrapped box.” I used Copic Sketch Markers to add some color to the pink die cut using YG03, YG67 and R46 colors. I simply dotted the centers of the snowflakes in horizontal lines for a continuous pattern. I splattered white ink over the design using Dr. PH Marten’s paint and a fan brush with water. With the present “wrapped” in a designer paper (haha), I attached the bow with glue, beginning with one diagonal strip of glitter as the first layer on the die cut, followed by the vertical strip and then the die cut bow.
I added two “mistletoe” stems, two holly leaves and three red berries, all from the Christmas Bouquet Die Set to the top of the bow. The leaves and berries were splattered with white paint prior to attaching the greenery to the top of the bow. I glued everything in place.
For the 5″ X 7″ front panel background, I used the Chic Bows Stencil Set with Rustic Wilderness and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Inks to make the pretty and frilly bow background. I attached the gift-wrapped present with bow to the stenciled background and finished the card with a little tag stamped with “warm wishes” from the Merry Christmice stamp Set.
