I love the postage stamp trend in papercrafting and Alex Syberia Designs has so many fun ways to use a postage stamp for holiday cardmaking. Today’s card features the following Alex Syberia Design’s products:
Merry Mail stamps and coordinating dies
My card is 5″ X 7″ and fits inside an A7 card. The card base, card front panel and bird postage stamp are made from Neenah 80lb white cardstock. Now for the details…
To make this card, I splattered blue and aqua paint on the 5″ X 7″ white card front panel and set it aside to dry. Using the Merry Mail stamps and coordinating dies, I stamped several postage stamp outlines on the card front in black, cascading them in a slight diagonal pattern. I stamped the very top one falling off of the top of the panel. I added shadowing under each one using a Copic C3 and C1 so that the stamps look like they are layered versus a single layer, stamped image. I stamped and die cut another individual postage stamp on another sheet of white cardstock and stamped a bird on it. I will attach this one with a foam tab to make it stand out from the others.
I stamped the cute, merry images in each stamp and colored them with Copic Sketch markers. I added polka dots to some of the postage for a fun background on the postage stamps.
