Welcome to the Alex Syberia Designs blog, this is Nicky with you today and I have a set of four Christmas crackers to share that were created using the Christmas Crackers Die Set which formed part of the December 3rd release.
These crackers are so easy to make and the die set offers limitless options for ways to decorate them, you can re-imagine them every holiday season with different patterned cardstock or you can elect to go very sparkly as I did with my set which I intend for a Christmas Eve family dinner. Each is filled with three quality chocolates for after the meal (if anyone has any room for them)!
I used sparkling cardstock from Alex Syberia’s new range of cardstock and literally just followed the clear instructions that are included with the Christmas Cracker Die Set. You can get a real production line going! I also chose to die cut decorative window openings with one of the included dies, so each cracker which has six sides and has two windows but of course this is optional if you want to hide the contents. I constructed the crackers and used coordinating ribbon to secure one end, I filled them with chocolates and then tied the other end.
You should check out the ‘Christmas Jokes’ stamp set and could include a little joke in each cracker which is traditional and gets the table conversation going. I filled with chocolates only, however you could put anything in yours, let your imagination run wild and have fun with them.
