Hello crafty friends! Love is in the air this weekend as we celebrate all kinds of love on February 14 for St. Valentine’s Day! While I’m calling this 5″ X 7″ greeting a “valentine,” this card is perfect for any celebration of love like a wedding, anniversary, Mother’s Day and more. I’m used the following Alex Syberia Designs products:
Wrapped With Love stamp set and coordinating die set
To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I used Neenah 80lb Classic Crest cardstock for the A7 white card base. From the same cardstock, I stamped and die cut the ribbon bow frame from using the Wrapped With Love stamp set and coordinating die set. I kept this ribbon bow frame white to keep the focus on the medallion and flower inside it. I stenciled red polka dots on the inside cut of the frame using the Tiny Flowers Stencil Set and Distress Oxide Ink in Candied Apple. I attached the frame and dotted interior piece to the card base. I added shadowing around the frame using C3 and C1 to make it appear dimensional.
I stamped and die cut the peony bouquet from the set, Wrapped With Love stamp set and colored it with Copics. I used the following Copic Sketch Marker colors: RV00, RV02, RV17, RV09 RV55, YG03, YG17 and YG67. I die cut the scalloped red hearts from the Charming Medallions Die Set and the “love you” scripted words from the With Love Sentiments Die Set. I used red and bright pink cardstock to make the shadowed words. I added a bow to the top heart using a bright pink cardstock and double layers attached together. Both hearts were added to the inside of the frame using foam tabs under both hearts. I also hand drew in a few mini red hearts using an R29 Copic Marker. I drew in some white highlights to the mini hearts using my Gelly Roll Pen. I also used markers to add designs to the bow.
The peony bouquet was attached to the right of the hearts. I stamped some black splotchy dots using a stamp from the Wrapped With Love stamp set on both sides of the ribbon frame. This little stamped detail in black really looks fantastic with the colors inside the frame.
