Hello, crafty friends!! It’s Brenda from MyPaperCutCreations here with you today!! I’m super excited to be sharing my first blog post as a new member of the Alex Syberia design team!! I’ve had the pleasure of working with Alex’s digital designs and the kickstarter campaign for her physical products in the past, so I’m honored to be part of the design team!!
I have a pretty simple card to share with you today (which we all need when preparing for the upcoming holiday season, am I right?), that would be perfect for Valentine’s Day or anytime to let that special someone know how much you care!!
I began by stamping the flowers, leaves and sentiment from the Create Your Own Happy Stamp Set onto white cardstock with dye inks. Once all of the stamping was finished, I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out.
For the background, I die-cut the Fancy Cover Die from white cardstock and adhered it over an A2 white card base.
I arranged the flowers and leaves and adhered them together with a bit of liquid adhesive, then popped the arrangement up in the lower, left corner with foam tape. The sentiment was also popped up with foam adhesive. I love a tone-on-tone background and adding foam tape is a great way to differentiate your images from the background, while also adding dimension.
