Love You Berry Much Greeting Card

Hello crafty friends! Today’s card was inspired by vintage fabrics of the 50s and and early 60s. I did a little research and found some really charming prints. Cherries, flowers, stripes… they were all common in the fabrics found. I thought this Alex Syberia Designs collection was perfect for creating a charming print, reminiscent of the mid-century era.  I used the following Alex Syberia Designs products from the Wrapped In Love Collection:

Love Tickets Stamp Set

Love Tickets Die Set

With Love Sentiments Die Set

Tiny Flowers Stencil

The card below measures 5″ X 7″.  The card base was made from Neenah 80lb cardstock.

To create this card, I cut a card front panel measuring 5″ wide X 7″ tall.  I used 1/8″ strips of red cardstock to create the 7″ tall vertical strips. the 5″ card width was divided by these 1/8″ strips and 7/8″ of white space. I stamped the designs inside the 7/8″ white spaces. I stamped the cherries image from the Love Tickets Stamp Set. I colored the cherries using Copic Sketch Markers in R89, R46, R24 and R14. The blue bows on the cherries were colored with B00 and B02 markers. I added white highlights to the cherries. I added the pink flowers using the Tiny Flowers Stencil. I added red centers to the flowers. Between the cherries and flowers, I added some hearts and dots in a bright green, and red by hand drawing them in with Copic Markers.

For sentiment box, I used the Love Tickets Die Set. I cut the coordinating shaped tickets in a light blue and white cardstock and layered them. I added faux stitching around the smaller, white ticket using a black fine-tip black marker. I die cut the sentiment, “Love you berry much” from red cardstock and glued the words to the sentiment box.  I added two red hearts to both sides of the “berry.” I attached the sentiment box to the front panel using foam tabs to make it stand out. The last touch… a pretty red bow. The bow is from the Love Tickets Stamp Set  and the Love Tickets Die Set. I attached the front panel to the white card base to complete the card.
