Love Card for a Sweet Friend

Happy Saturday friends, this is Nicky with you today on the Alex Syberia Designs blog.  I am sharing a new card I made featuring the always popular Sweet Friend stamp set and to complete the card I have pulled several other products which I have linked below:-

Sweet Friend

Sweet Friend Dies

Tiny Flowers Cover Die

Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set

Classic Foliage Die Set

Butterfly Bliss Die Set

I took two white panels of cardstock.  With one, I ink blended using Fossilized Amber and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Inks then die cut using the Tiny Flowers Cover Die.  I adhered this panel to a white card base.

With the second white panel of cardstock, I die cut using a die from the Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set, then I masked around the edges and ink blended with the same inks used in the background panel.  I kept the masking in place and came in with the flower image from Sweet Friend and using a light grey ink I stamped the image repeatedly.  I then removed the mask and stamped the ‘love you’ sentiment with a darker grey ink in the corner.  This panel was backed with white craft foam and adhered to the background.

I stamped the mouse image in dark grey ink and coloured with the following Copic markers:-

Mice – W4, W2, W1, W0, W00

Green – BG32, BG11, BG0000

Yellow – YR21, Y00, E50

Blush & Ears – R21, R20, R00, R000

I die cut the image and applied it to the background with foam tape.

I highlighted a little on the stamped image and then moved on to the die cutting of the foliage and flowers which used dies from both Butterfly Bliss Die Set and Classic Foliage Die Set.  I arranged them and glued into position with the yellow flower being popped up on a little dimensional tape.

I hope you like this little love card for a friend and feel inspired to make your own.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend and happy crafting!

Nicky
