Little Things Mean A Lot

Hello, fellow crafters! I’m sharing a BIG SMILE today. Why? Because these stamps and dies that I’m using today are so darn cute! I’m using the new Collecting Memories stamp and coordinating dies along with the Large Smile die.  The Collecting Memories set has lots of little images that just deserve to be highlighted on this card. To do this, I stamped the smaller images and punched them out with a 1″ circle punch. I colored the images and added black faux stitching lines around each circle.

I die cut the “smile” word out of a yellow / honey-colored cardstock. I die cut the word out of two more layers of cardstock and glued them together to make the word thick. I stamped the fox from the set and colored him using YR27, YR24, YR23, E53, E50, and B02.

I stamped the “good day” phrase  from the Self Care sentiment stamp set. I cut it using the coordinating dies. I also stamped the “little things” phrase from the same set. It’s only appropriate we mention the “little things” here. 🙂

I assembled the card, adding a vibrant blue cardstock to the lower half of my 5″ X 7″ white card base. I attached the circles, the smile word, and the sentiments. Lastly, I stamped, colored and die cut the fox and added the animal right above the “Smile” word. White highlight marks were added to the letters and little black specks were placed around the sentiments and images to complete the look.
