Life is Good Shaker

Hello friends!

I’m so happy to be on Alex Syberia Designs blog again sharing some inspiration with the Life is Good Stamp and coordinating die.

I started my project by gold heat embossing the image. Once the outline stamp was ready, I was ready to use the coordinating Stencil. I always love to choose color for my designs, it such a fun moment when you picture your image and try the different combinations.

For this design, I went with yellow, fuchsia, and pink for the flowers and green and and teal for the leaves. I used Squeeze Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Seedless preserves, Candied Apple and Kitsch Flamingo for the flowers and Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers for the leaves.

I applied the same colors with the second layer and buffed away the excess with a towel once I had finished coloring.

Next up I die cut my flower with the coordinating die. I decided to gold heat embossed again the Life is good stamp set onto vellum and adhered it to the flower to add some texture.

I love shaker cards so I thought I’d create a shaker element on my front panel. I cut a circle on A2 size paper and added some acetate and foam adhesive. I added some sequins in the same colors I had used to the flower.

My final stamp was just to gold heat embossed the sentiment from the same set.

I hope you like this simply but colorful design. I absolutely adore this set and having the coordinating stencils makes it really ease to  add color.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Hugs,

Raquel
