Just a Note – Spring Clover

Happy Monday, fellow crafters!! Brenda here with an all die-cut card featuring the new Spring Clover Die Set from the latest Spring Meadow Release!! I always love the unique designs of Alex’s floral die sets and this one is no exception!!

I began by die-cutting all the pieces from the Spring Clover Die Set from smooth white cardstock. I blended dye inks onto the die-cuts to add color and dimension, then adhered them together using liquid glue. A white colored pencil was used to add the details to the leaves.

For the background, I die-cut a panel of white cardstock with the largest die in the Good Day Quilted Rectangles Die Set. It was splattered with diluted Black Soot Distress Ink. A panel of pink cardstock was die-cut with the second largest die in the same die set and the second largest scalloped rectangle from the Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set was cut from the center. It was adhered to the white panel, once the ink was dry. A double length of pink and white twine was wrapped around the bottom of the panel and tied into a bow.

The sentiment is from the Essential Sentiments Die Set. It was die-cut from pink cardstock once, black cardstock one time and heavyweight white cardstock twice. I blended a bit of darker pink dye ink onto the bottom of the pink die-cuts for an ombre’ effect. The white layers were adhered behind the colored ones, then the black layer was adhered behind the pink one, slightly offset.

That’s it for me today!! Thank you so much for stopping by!! I’ll see you back here next Monday!!

Brenda
