Hello everyone this is Nicky back with you today on the Alex Syberia Designs blog and I’m sharing a classic Christmas card featuring the Joyful Poinsettia Die Set. Read on for all the details but first, here is a list of links to the products used:-
I took a white A2 panel of cardstock and die cut it with the Charming Flora Cover Die. I backed this panel with white craft foam and applied it to an A6 card base and set it to one side.
Using the Joyful Poinsettia Die Set, I die cut green, red and shimmering gold cardstock (multiple times where needed) and I used Lipstick Red and Forest inks by The Stamp Market to ink blend the red and green parts providing some dimension and it makes them look more opulent. I formed the flowers by stacking and glueing the different layers together and I teased the petal edges upwards for dramatic dimension. The blooms were glued to the card’s background panel.
I tucked the gold ‘greenery’ in behind the blooms for a finishing flourish then spattered gold watercolour paint and then white acrylic paint all over the surface of the card.
Last, but not least, I stamped the sentiment from Christmas Sentiments, I die cut using the coordinating die set and applied the sentiment with foam tape and I added Stickles glitter in Lime Green to the flower centres and with that this Christmas card was complete.
Thank you so much for visiting the blog today. I look forward to bringing you my next card next Saturday. Happy crafting!
Nicky
