Hey everyone this is Nicky with you today on the Alex Syberia Designs blog and I’m sharing a fun Christmas card inspired by peppermint colours. Here’s a list of links to the products used in the making of this card.
Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set
I took my peppermint colours from a panel of patterned cardstock in my stash. I die cut the panel using the largest of the rectangular frames included in the Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set. I used the next size down to create a white panel which I ink blended using ‘Cotton Candy’ ink by The Stamp Market. I splashed it with diluted white acrylic paint and then dotted in some metallic and red.
I backed the white panel with white craft foam and adhered it in the lower right hand corner of the patterned panel and this was all adhered to an A6 card base.
I used silver, pink and red cardstock and die cut the bells from Jingle Bell Joy along with some fir fronds, I glued the parts together and adhered them along with a bow in the left hand corner with dimensional foam tape.
Next I tackled the oversized sentiment. I used the Foxtrot Alphabet Die Set to achieve this and I first die cut all the required letters from sturdy white cardstock and and then once using the silver, pink and reds I’d used before. I glued the letters together and then to the ink blended background. Card done!
I appreciate you visiting the ASD blog today and hope you can have some fun cardmaking time to yourself soon!
