I Am So Thankful – Elegant Peony

Happy Monday, fellow crafters!! Brenda here with you today!! I hope you had a great weekend!! My best friend and her hubby came to visit and we spent the weekend at the lake!! Such a great time!!

I have a floral card to share today featuring the Elegant Peony Die Set, Meadow Magic Cover Die and a sentiment from the Bouquet of Blessings Stamp Set!!

I began by die-cutting the Elegant Peony Dies from pink, purple and two shades of teal cardstock. I added shading to the top two layers only using dye inks and blending brushes, then layered and adhered each flower together.

The background was die-cut from a panel of aqua cardstock using the Meadow Magic Cover Die. I added some ink-blending around the outside of the panel with aqua ink in a slightly deeper color. The leaves and flowers were arranged and adhered with liquid glue, then the entire panel was splattered with diluted white ink.

The sentiment is from the Bouquet of Blessings Stamp Set. It was white heat embossed onto a panel of black cardstock and cut out with the Coordinating Die. I also die-cut three more layers from heavyweight white cardstock, adhered them behind the black one, then adhered it to the front of the card.

That does it for me today!! Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a great week!!

Brenda
