I’m combining several of the new sets from the latest Hello & Hugs Collection for my card today!!
I began by white heat embossing the floral images from the Lovely Day Stamp Set onto Bristol smooth cardstock. I colored them with watercolor markers, then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out.
For the background, I stamped the Abstract Background Stamp onto white cardstock with light blue ink. It was die-cut with the second largest rectangle die in the Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set. I also die-cut a panel of purple cardstock with the largest rectangle die and a scalloped rectangle from vellum using the middle scalloped die from the same die set. The panels were stacked and adhered together with liquid glue. The floral images were arranged and adhered around the perimeter of the background, trimming the excess from the edges and using the offcuts in another area.
The sentiment is a combination of the Hello & Hugs Die Set and the Abstract Background Stamp Set & Coordinating Dies. The top layer of “hugs” was die-cut once from light blue cardstock and three times from heavyweight white cardstock. The shadow layer was cut three times from heavyweight white cardstock. The layers were stacked and adhered together with liquid glue, then adhered across the center of the card. The sub-sentiment was stamped onto white cardstock with blue ink, cut out with the Coordinating Die, then popped up with foam squares. I added a bit of Star Dust Stickles to the centers of the flowers and a sprinkling of light blue baubles to finish off the card.
