Hello, crafters and happy Monday!! Brenda here with a card featuring the Clematis Die Set that I “deconstructed” a bit!! I combined the flowers from the set with the Classic Foliage Dies to create my own floral arrangement!!
I began by die-cutting the flowers from the Clematis Die Set and the leaves from the Classic Foliage Dies from white cardstock. I used Distress Inks and dye inks to add color and shading to the die-cuts using blending brushes.
For the background, I die-cut the Meadow Magic Cover Die from white cardstock and adhered it to a white A2 card base. This is one of my favorite cover dies to add subtle texture and interest to the background, while still allowing the focal point to take center stage.
The Hello & Hugs Die Set was used to create the sentiment. The top layer was cut three times from heavyweight white cardstock. I blended one of the layers with inks to match the flowers. The shadow layer was cut once from black cardstock and three times from heavyweight white cardstock. All the layers were stacked and adhered together with liquid glue, with the black layer slightly offset. I arranged all the die-cuts and sentiments to my liking, then adhered everything with liquid glue. I added lots of pink baubles and Star Dust Stickles to the centers of the flowers to finish off the card.
This color combo just makes my heart happy!! I think I’m ready for spring!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!! I appreciate your time!!
