How to use a large floral stamp to make clean and simple cards

Hi there!

It’s Hannelie here today popping in as guest designer for March… and I am thrilled about it!

Today I want to show you how I used the beautiful  Spring Garden Stamp set  to make two clean and simple cards!

I started off by stamping the image and cutting it out using the coordinating die set .

On the first card I used the Floral lattice die behind a round aperture – cut with a circle die – to create the upper card panel. I popped the panel I created up on the card base using foam adhesive to create dimension. I separated the two flowers from the image at the smallest part of the stem and after coloring the flower with the  Spring Garden Layering stencil set , I adhered it to the card with the window behind it. I then stamped the sentiment and also used the coordinating die to cut it out. To finish off the card I adhered the sentiment and embellished the card with three clear rhinestones.

On the second card I used the other flower, using a slightly different color palette.

On the card base I used a part of the Modern Stripes Stencil on the bottom of the card to create a background for the flower. I then stamped the sentiment and used foam adhesive to adhere the flower to the card base.

Large floral images works so well to make two quick cards!

I hope this will inspire you to look at your large flower stamps with a fresh approach!
