Hello everyone, welcome to the Alex Syberia Designs blog, this is Nicky with you today and I’m sharing a new Christmas card that was created using the ‘Christmas Bouquet Die Set’ together with the ‘Good Day Quilted Rectangles Die Set‘. I started the card with an A2 panel of Kraft cardstock and I used the Good Day Die to give it the quilted edge.
I used two shades of red cardstock plus mint and white cardstock to die cut all of the different flower parts and to form the HO HO HO bold sentiment.
I started with a little measuring so that the HO HO HO sentiment was equally spaced and then I added the letters backed with foam tape.
I formed the Poinsettia flowers, glueing the parts together and then the same with the smaller blooms. I played around for a little bit, deciding one the layout and once I was happy I adhered the flowers in place either with glue or foam tape as needed in each position.
I dipped the base of each leaf in a little glue and began to add them tucked there and there.
I used white acrylic paint loosened with a drop or two of water and my craft toothbrush to spatter on the snow. Once this was dry a few minutes later, I backed the kraft panel with white craft foam and adhered it to a slightly larger white card base.
The final touch was just the addition of a few sparkling clear sequins.
Thank you for visiting the blog today and reading about my card, I hope you enjoyed it. Happy crafting … I’ll be back next Wednesday with something new!
Nicky
