Hello – Pink Periwinkles

Happy Saturday, friends!! I hope those of you in the US have some fun plans for the long holiday weekend!!

I am IN LOVE with the Petit Periwinkles Die Set!! I just can’t get enough of these sweet little flowers!! I decided to make the blooms pink for my card today!!

I began by die-cutting the Petit Periwinkles Die Set from white, pink and green cardstock. I inked the white die-cuts with Kitsch Flamingo and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink. Once the ink was dry, I adhered them all together with liquid glue.

Next, I foiled the Glowing Geometry Hot Foil Plate onto Glimmer Specialty Cardstock with Prism Foil. It’s really difficult to see in the photos, but it adds a nice tone-on-tone shimmer to the background panel that really catches the light. A frame was die-cut from pink cardstock using two dies from the Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set. It was adhered to the foiled panel with liquid adhesive. The periwinkle branches were then adhered along the top and the excess was trimmed away from the left side.

The top layer of the Large Hello Die Set was cut from pink cardstock and the shadow layer was cut three times from heavyweight white cardstock. Lastly, they were layered, adhered together with liquid glue, then adhered to the front of the card.

That’s it for me today!! I hope you have a wonderful weekend and find some time to get crafty!! Thanks for stopping by!!
