Hello Lovely featuring on Creative Stamping Magazine!

Hello, crafty friends!

I am SO excited to have my card featuring on Issue 116 of the Creative Stamping Magazine here in the UK!

For my card, I used the Hello Lovely Stamp Set and Coordinating Die. I am not very confident when colouring flowers, so this technique works like a charm for me! It is VERY easy to add lots of colour and get stunning results!

I started off by stamping the flower in the Hello Lovely set with my WOW embossing pad onto white cardstock and then used some white WOW! Embossing powder which I heat set with a heat gun.

The next step was to do some ink blending with a few different distress oxide inks. The hardest thing about this technique was to find colours that worked well and didn’t end up brown! This is my third attempt at it! I love the results.

I used salvaged pantina and peacock feathers for the leaves, then wilted violet, picked raspberry and barn door for the main flower and finally squeezed lemonade for the centre and the small flower.

I added some splatters with perfect pearls water and then used the Coordinating Die to cut it out.

So quick and impactful, don’t you think?

For the background, I am a big fan of using stencils and dry embossing to add dimension, so I decided to use the Fancy Background Stencil. Do you use dry embossing often?

Finally, I added the Smile Word Die which is so fine and elegant! I don’t usually, but I decided to go for silver glitter cardstock and a black shadow for it. Absolutely LOVE the combination! Also, I do love word dies with shadows – it makes such a difference!

I added a few gems and pearls and that completes my card!

Be sure to pop over to our IG account later on to see a reel of me making this card in action!

Crafty hugs,

Natalia
