Hi crafty friends! I’m Lien, back with another card and video.
This week I’m sharing a pretty clean and simple shaped card with some very gorgeous peonies. I started out by stenciling the peonies onto white cardstock. I used the Gorgeous Peonies layering stencils and to get them to line up easily, I just put my cardstock and each stencil in the corner of my Misti. I did use a few ink colors on each layer of the flowers just because that gives it a little something extra.
Once they were all stenciled, I lined up the coordinating Gorgeous Peonies stamp and stamped them in Versamark ink. I sprinkled on gold embossing powder and once that was heatset I cut out all the flowers and leaves with the one-piece coordinating die.
To create my shaped card, I cut two panels using the largest scalloped die from the Nested Scalloped Frames die set. About 1.5 cm from the top of one panel, I added a scoreline. This will be the back panel of the card and the scoreline creates the flap. I added glue to everything above the scoreline and adhered the second panel on top. I added a teal frame (also die cut with the Nested Scalloped Frames set) on foam tape and added my flowers on top in two of the corners. I adhered the Large Hello die cut right in the center.
