Hello Friend

Hello, friends and happy Monday!! Brenda here sharing a floral card combining old and new goodies to create this colorful card that’s perfect for just about any occasion!!

I began by die-cutting  some of the flowers and leaves in the Trendy Botanicals Die Set and some flowers and the butterfly in the Cheerful Meadow Die Set from white cardstock. I used the following Distress Inks to add color and shading to the open flowers: Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry, Squeezed Lemonade and Mustard Seed. Bundled Sage, Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness were used on the leaves and the remaining flowers were colored using peach and orange dye inks. The body and antennae of the butterfly were colored with a black Copic marker, then the pieces were adhered together using liquid glue.

For the background, I die-cut the Meadow Magic Cover Die from white cardstock and adhered it to an A2 white card base. The flowers and leaves were arranged along the left-hand side of the background and adhered using liquid glue. The butterfly was adhered by only adding liquid glue behind the body, allowing the wings to pop-up.

The sentiment is from the Essential Sentiments Die Set. It was die-cut once from black cardstock and three times from heavyweight white cardstock. The layers were stacked and adhered together using liquid glue, then added to the front of the card. To finish, I used a black Copic multi-liner to the small openings on the three open flowers.

I LOVE how this turned out and hope you do, as well!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a wonderful week!!

Brenda
