Hello Friend – Pink Clematis

Happy Monday, friends!! Brenda here with you today!! I hope you got some Christmas preparations finished over the weekend!! I still have soooooo much to do!!

Let’s get to my card today, shall we?

I began by die-cutting the Clematis Die Set from light pink, light green and yellow cardstock. I added shading to the flowers with Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry Distress Inks and used Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness Distress Inks on the leaves. Mustard Seed and Wild Honey Distress Inks were added to the yellow centers of the flowers. I used a black marker to color the centers of the flowers, then used liquid glue to adhere all the die-cuts together.

For the background, I die-cut the frame in the Delicate Frame & Friend Die Set from white cardstock and adhered it to a white A2 card base. I diluted Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry Distress Inks and black dye ink, then splattered it onto the background with a paint brush.

The sentiment is a combination of “hello” from the Hello & Hugs Die Set and “friend” from the Delicate Frame & Friend Die Set. I blended Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry Distress Inks onto strips of light pink cardstock, then die-cut the top layer of the sentiments from them. I also die-cut two more layers from heavyweight white cardstock. The shadow layers were cut three times from heavyweight white cardstock and once from black cardstock. All the layers were stacked and adhered together with liquid glue. I snipped the clematis apart to frame the sentiment, then adhered everything to the background with liquid glue and this card was finished.

That does it for me today!! Have a very Merry Christmas and I’ll see you back here next Monday!!

Brenda
