Happy weekend, crafty friends!! I hope you have some fun plans for the weekend!! I have a floral “hello” card to share with you today that combines several of the new goodies from the Time To Choose Magic Release!!
I began by die-cutting the branches and flowers in the Petit Periwinkles Die Set from green, two shades of lavender and two shades of blue cardstock. I added shading to the center of the flowers with Seedless Preserves and Stormy Sky Distress Oxide Inks, then adhered all of the elements together.
For the background, I die-cut a panel of white cardstock with the largest scalloped die in the Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set. I ran it through my die-cut machine with the Pureland Fan Stencil and an embossing mat. While the stencil was still in place, I blended Seedless Preserves and Stormy Sky Distress Oxides onto it with a very light hand. I love the subtle texture that the dry embossed stencil gives the background, although it’s really hard to see in the photos. The largest rectangle die in the Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set was cut from lavender cardstock, then the scalloped layer was adhered to it. The periwinkle die-cuts were then adhered to the background with liquid glue.
The sentiment was created by die-cutting the top layer of the Large Hello Die Set once from black cardstock and two times from heavyweight white cardstock. The shadow layer was die-cut from white cardstock and all of the layers were adhered together. I absolutely LOVE this font!! It was adhered to the front of the card with liquid glue and this card was finished.
