Hello crafty friends. I’m sharing a sweet card featuring products from the latest release, “Chic Shoes Collection” by Alex Syberia Designs. This 5″ X 7″ card has all the warm feels of a paper hug set in a beautiful, spring design. I used the following products:

Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set
To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I used the press plate to “stamp” the floral design and cut it using the coordinating dies. I used the coordinating stencil to color the florals in pinks, yellows and a combination of the colors to make an orange. I did add some additional color to the flowers (highlighting/shadowing) using Copic Markers.
I die cut some shaped tickets and charms using the Love Tickets Die Set and the Charming Medallions Die Set. The heart shaped charm, bow and the rounded square are from the Charming Medallions Die Set. The postage stamp is from the Love Tickets Die Set. I used cardstock in a warm gray, white, and a brighter pink color for the heart. I had some leftover butterfly transfers that I added to each of the framed elements. I added a light pink bow to the heart charm.
For the background, I used watercolor paper and added horizontal strokes of pinks and yellows and swiped across the paper. I let the colors blend together. I die cut the watercolor using the Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set using a simple stitched rectangle die. I added a fun transfer to the upper right corner (Transfers from a 49 and Market Fresh Start rub-ons package) to create a “mixed media collage” feel to this card. I attached the watercolor rectangle it to a white A7 card base.
I attached the floral bouquet to the card front over the watercolor design. I layered on the “hugs” sentiment. I slightly overlapped and layered the charms and frames using foam tabs under the heart charm. I sprinkled white paint over the florals. I also added some organic drops of black around the collage elements to complete this heartfelt card.
