Have A Hog Happy Day!

Hello this is Nicky with you today on the Alex Syberia Designs blog and I’m sharing a sweet love card with you which could be used for all number of occasions.  Lots of layering and dimension on this one!

Here’s a handy list of links to the products I have used:-

Hog Happy Day

Hog Happy Day Die

Collecting Memories (flowers)

Good Day Quilted Rectangles Die Set

Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set

Endless Hearts Die

First of all I formed all the panels from white and pale pink cardstock using the Good Day die and the Nested Scalloped die.  I adhered the pink panel to the large scalloped white one directly.  With the smaller scalloped panel I masked a line and ink blended above it using Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink to form a soft focal point.  I stamped the sentiments below the line then backed that panel with white craft foam and glued it to the pink panel.

From a previous card that I shared recently, I had some leftover hearts that were formed by die cutting with the Endless Hearts Die and I glued this heart to the background at a playful angle.

I stamped the flying pig from Hog Happy Day and I coloured her with Copic markers E11, R11, R00 and R000.  I blushed the cheeks with R22, R21, R20 and R00 and then I die cut the image and applied within the heart with foam tape.  I highlighted some points with a white gel pen and glittered her fairy wings with Stickles glitter.

To complete the card I stamped a little group of flowers image from Collecting Memories three times and added a little Copic colouring to them, die cut and adding with more foam tape.  I applied the decorative panel to a card base that was trimmed to the point where it wouldn’t show behind the scalloped panel and with that, this card was ready to send out!

I appreciate you taking the time to read my post today and I’ll be back soon with something new to share.

Nicky
