Have A Hog Happy Birthday!

Hey everyone this is Nicky with you today on the Alex Syberia Stamps blog, thank you for joining me.  Today I’m sharing with you a CAS card design that starts with two masked and ink blended focal points within which you can set little scenes.  If you’re ever a little stuck for an idea this is a good place to start.  To create this card I have used:-

Hog Happy Day

Hog Happy Day Die

Merry Christmice (stars)

I took an A2 panel of white cardstock and I used masking tape to create 2 sections which I ink blended with Sea Glass ink by The Stamp Market.   I made the ink blending a deeper shade at the bottom of each section and then faded it out as I worked the ink upwards.  I then used the same ink and a little star image from Merry Christmice to add interest to the background.  I removed the masks and adhered the panel to a card base.

Using Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black, I stamped the images from the always lovely Hog Happy Day stamp set.  I coloured the images with the following Copic marker combinations:-

Piglets – RV42, R12, R00, R000

Teal – BG49, BG34, G00, G000

Blushes – RV23, R32, R21, R00

I die cut the images and adhered to the ink blended areas with dimensional foam tape.

I stamped the sentiment and die cut then applied with more foam tape.  I highlighted areas on the piglets with a white gel pen and then I used Stickles Glitter to add sparkle to the tea set, fairy wings and one or two other areas.

I appreciate you reading the blog today and hope you find some happy time in your craft space soon.

Nicky
