Happy Blooms

Hi crafty friends! I’m back with another card and video today throwing lots of fun techniques together for a graphic look.

For this card I’m using the Happy Blooms stamp set and these are detailed enough that you don’t need to color them in. Of course you can stamp them in your favorite colored ink, but I stamped them in Versafine Onyx Black and added Clear Gloss embossing powder. I then cut them out using the coordinating dies.

A subtle background worked perfect for this design, so I used the Glowing Geometry Hot Foil plate and Spellbinders Matte Silver foil on white cardstock. I cut out the background using the Nested Scalloped Frames die set which leaves a fun dotted detail all the way around the A2 panel. I used that same Nested Scalloped Frames die set to create a frame from white glitter cardstock. I also cut two extra layers and stacked those together to make it a little more sturdy.

I used a rainbow of inks to add color to the white glitter cardstock and started assembling my card. I glued the hot foil background to my cardbase and propped the frame and the blooms up on some foam tape. For my sentiment I used the Foxtrot Alphabet die set to create a You and the sub sentiment is from the Happy Blooms stamp set. The coordinating dies also cut out all the sentiments in this wonderful set.
