Happy Birthday – September Inspiration Challenge

Hello, friends!! Brenda here with a card for the September Inspiration Challenge!! This month’s inspiration challenges you to create using a beautiful color palette and/or a birthday card….I did both!! I pulled out several products, some old and some new to use on my card!! I love combining old and new goodies to get the most from my stash!! Let’s get started!!

I began by stenciling the Confetti Layering Stencils into white cardstock using Distress Oxide Ink colors to match the inspiration photo…Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin, Peacock Feathers, Seedless Preserves and Uncharted Mariner. I trimmed the panel slightly and adhered it to a teal panel that was die-cut with the largest die in the Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set.

Next, I stamped the tree, hedgehog and sentiment from the Birthday Wonderland Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Copic-friendly black ink. I colored them with Copics, added highlights with a white gel pen and used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. The tiny clouds are from the Rainbow Sentiments Stamp Set. They were stamped with black ink onto white cardstock and fussy cut.

The tag was cut from white and green cardstock using a die in the Signature Tags Die Set. I blended a bit of Peacock Feathers onto the white tag, trimmed the green one to create the grass and adhered them together. The tree and clouds were adhered with liquid glue, while the hedgehog and sentiment were popped up with foam tape. The tag was adhered to the front of the card. To finish it off, I die-cut the smaller bow from the Pretty Bows Die Set twice from yellow cardstock and adhered them to the top of the tag.

Here’s the challenge graphic, if you’d like to play along. You can read more about the challenge here!!

Thank you so much for dropping by today!! Have a wonderful weekend!!

Brenda
