Happy Birthday – Hog Happy Day

Hello, crafty friends and happy Monday!! I hope you’re all doing well!! Brenda here with a fun birthday card featuring the Hog Happy Day Stamps & Coordinating Dies, Postage Stamps Cover Die & Stencil and the Alhambra Arabesque Cover Die!!

I started by stamping the images from the Hog Happy Day Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Copic-friendly black ink. I colored them with Copic markers, added highlights with a white gel pen, then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out.

For the background, I die-cut the Alhambra Arabesque Cover Die from white cardstock and adhered it to an A2 white card base. The Postage Stamps Cover Die was die-cut from white cardstock. I blended Mustard Seed, Picked Raspberry and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Inks onto the die using the Postage Stamps Stencil, then trimmed the stamps apart along the perforations with my trimmer.

The sentiments, from the Hog Happy Day Stamp Set, were white heat embossed onto black cardstock and cut out with the Coordinating Dies. They were adhered with liquid glue. I also stamped the 7 cents stamp, from the Special Delivery Stamp Set, onto one of the postage stamps with black ink. The hog die-cuts were also adhered with liquid glue and the postage stamps were arranged and popped up on the background with foam adhesive. Lastly, a black glaze pen was used to darken and add a bit of shine to the eyes and noses of the hogs.

That does it for me today!! Thanks so much for spending a bit of your Monday with me!!

Brenda
