Gorgeous Peonies

Hi crafty friends! I’m back on the YouTube channel as well with this pretty hot foiled card.

I foiled the Gorgeous Peonies hot foil plate in Satin Gold Glimmer Foil from Spellbinders onto white cardstock twice. I saved my negative foil each time and foiled those using the Pinkfresh Studio Solid Hot Foil Plate to get a reverse image: white outline, gold foil fill.

With the coordinating layering stencils, it’s very easy to add some dainty pink and luscious green to these hot foiled images. And just like the coordinating die, you can use these layering stencils for these Gorgeous Peonies  with the hot foil plate or the stamp set or even on their own. The coordinating die also cuts every image out all at once. Very handy when you need lots of flowers like I did.

I cut the Tiny Crosses cover die from white cardstock and glued that on top of a white notecard. I then arranged my flowers and leaves all around the edges of my card, creating a frame. The flowers are propped up on foam tape, while I tucked the leaves underneath them, glueing them down straight onto the card. Varying the dimension in a flower arrangement like this really helps to bring it to life. Once I’d filled all the edges of my card, I used my papertrimmer to trim off any excess.

I finished this card with a sentiment from the For Her Sentiments hot foil plates (there is a coordinating stamp set available as well that has lots of beautiful sub sentiment options). I foiled it in Opaque White onto pink cardstock and cut it out with the coordinating dies. I cut two more layers for the sentiment to give it some stability and propped it up in the center of my card with foam tape. As a final touch I added some green gold ombre embellishments around my sentiment.
