Garden Tweets CAS Card

Hi crafty friends! Lien here with an easy little CAS card. We’re doing some die cutting and inkblending.

I started by diecutting all my pieces for the flowers using the stunning Garden Tweets die set. I used navy blue cardstock for the stems and the tiny little leaves that go at the base of the blossoms. For the flowers themselves I used three shades of orange. I also cut two large green leaves to complete my little arrangement.

I want these flowers to be the star of the show so to create a simple background, I’m diecutting the Meadow Magic cover plate from white cardstock and I mask off the edges. If you want to have a nice even margin all the way around, use your grid mat to guide your masking tape. I then inkblended soft teal inks on the inside. Lighter at the top and heavier at the bottom of the open rectangle.

To make the assembly easier, I arranged all my leaves and flowers on my background and once I was happy with it, I picked it all up with a piece of Press ‘n Seal. I adhered my background to my cardbase, and then the flowers on top. I put foam tape behind the flowers , and some liquid glue behind everything else to play with the dimension a little bit. To finish this card I added the Hugs die cut from the Love and Hugs die set and added a subsentiment from my little prepped sentiment stash. I also added a few pearls here and there as a finishing touch.
