Feliz Navidad

Hello Crafty friends,

Sylvie @kaliscards here with a project combining new @alexsyberiadesigns products from the latest release with Pear Blossom Press lights.

To create this card, I started by diecutting 3 panels from the larger rectangle of the Nested Stitched die set.

On one panel, I used the circle die from the Timeless blooms celebration die set to cut out the bottom part and create a snow hill. I stamped the bottom sentiment from the Midnight blooms set with versamark and heat set it with silver embossing powder. The top sentiment was stamped from black ink, using the Christmas sentiments stamp set.
On the second panel, I used the Magic stars die at the top to create the starry sky and then blended Distress oxides Kitsch flamingo, Picked raspberry and Wilted violet. I then glued vellum at the back to soften the light from the Pear Blossom Press One light. I reserved the third panel to finalize the card.

I then foiled the Feliz navidad hot foil plate with Matte silver glimmer foil on white cardstock and used the coordinating die. Next, I stamped the cute images from the Merry Christmice set, colored them with Copic markers and used the coordinating dies.

To assemble the card, I started by die cutting another hill panel from black cardstock and adhered it to the back of the snow hill. This is to hide the LED light so that it doesn’t show through the hill. I then adhered the snow hill to the second panel. I then adhered the Feliz navidad sentiment at the top. Next, I positionned the Christmas tree so that the star at the top would be placed over one of the stars of the second panel, thus allowing the maximum light through. I poked a hole in the vellum where the star is and then aligned the panel with the third panel at the back and marked the star location on the back panel. I then taped the Pear Blossom Press One light on that third panel, with the LED on the mark and the switch on the left.

I then added Pear Blossom Press 3D Foam at the back of the second and middle panel, making sure that no foam is on the way of the One light. I avoided the central part, so that the light can illuminate as many stars as possible, but then completely covered the part below the One light (behind the snow hill). I then removed the release paper of the
3D foam and assembled the two panels.

Finally, I glued the cute images on the front panel, making sure the left mice pom pom overlays the One light stitch, as this will be the mark to know where to press. To finish the card, I adhered the front panel to the cardbase.

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful crafty day!

Sylvie
