Hi everyone! Lien here and I’m back to share my favorite stamping technique. I’m going to keep this post short because I think it’s better explained in the video.
For this card I used the Create Your Own Happy stamp set. You want a solid image stamp set for this technique and I love the painterly style of these flowers.
This shadow stamping technique creates a 3D effect just by stamping, no coloring required. All you do is work on colored cardstock and stamp your images with white pigment ink.
Let that dry for a little bit and then stamp your images again, slightly offset with colored dye inks. This will leave a white edge from the pigment ink as a highlight on the image, the dye ink on top of the white pigment ink will be the true color and then the dye ink stamped directly onto the colored cardstock will create a shadow. Easy 3D flowers, just by stamping!
