Falala

Hello, fellow crafters and cardmakers!! Yay!! It’s the weekend!! I hope you have some plans to get crafty!! Brenda here with you today…I’m sharing another holiday card to add to my stash using the color palette from the August Challenge!! You still have a couple of more days to join in the fun!! Get all the details here: Inspiration Challenge – Alex Syberia Designs Blog. Choosing which colors to use is often the most difficult decision for me, so having a challenge to jump start my creativity really helps!!

I began by stamping the adorable images from the Falala Friends Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Copic-friendly black ink. I colored them with Copics and used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. I also used a white gel pen to add some highlights.

For the background, I die-cut the Sparkly Flakes Cover Die from teal cardstock, then cut the solid layer of the Snowflake Layering Die Set from it and adhered it to a white card base. The detail layer of the Snowflake Layering Die Set was cut from aqua cardstock. I blended a bit of Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide onto the center, then adhered it to the front of the card with liquid glue. The adorable carollers are music notes were also adhered with liquid glue.

The sentiment, from the Falala Die Set, was cut from aqua and white cardstock. I added Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide on the bottom of the aqua layer, darker at the bottom and blending it out toward the top. They were layered and adhered together, then adhered to the bottom of the card. I added some aqua iridescent gems along the points of the snowflake to finish it off.

I really love how this turned out!! Don’t forget to check out the August Challenge!!

Thanks for stopping by!! Have a wonderful weekend!!

Brenda
