Falala Friends Christmas Card

Hello!  This is Nicky with you today on the blog and I’m sharing a card that was created using a long list of Alex Syberia products which I’ve listed as links below:-

Falala Friends

Falala Friends Die

Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set

Charming Flora Cover Die

Jingle Bell Joy Set (fir and holly leaves)

Winter Foliage Die Set (berries)

Christmas Sentiments

Christmas Sentiments Die

I started by creating all of the layers which are such a feature of this card.  With two of the layers I also gave them added interest by using the Charming Flora Cover Die after I’d used the Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set.  I glued together the die cuts I had created but with the blue panel, I backed this one with white craft foam and then applied it to the larger white panel – let’s get that dimension going!

I created the sprigs of winter greenery for each corner using the Winter Foliage and Jingle Bell Joy Die Sets and I glued them in place.  With the holly leaves, I used a little Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink to edge them for a little more impact.

I stamped the delightful image from Falala Friends and coloured with the following Copic marker combinations:-

Bunny – W5, W4, W2, W0, E31, E41

Blush – R22, R21, R20, R00

Top Hat – T6, T5, T4, T2

Scarf – R39, R29, R27, C5, C3, C1

Ice Skates – C3, C1, C0

Robin – E44, E42, R29

I die cut the images using the coordinating die set and backed them with dimensional foam tape and adhered them to the very top panel which I’d ink blended with a little ‘Minty’ ink by The Stamp Market.  I stamped a sentiment from Christmas Sentiments and adhered the strip with more foam tape.

I highlighted points with a white gel pen and mounted the card on a card base that was small enough to sit behind the largest white panel and not show so that the pretty edge wasn’t hidden and with that this fun card was complete!

Thank you for stopping by to read the blog today, I’ll be back soon with something brand new!

Nicky
