Hello everyone, this is Nicky @nickynoocards with you today and I’m happily guest designing for Alex Syberia Designs and I’m in fully into Christmas with my card and gift tag duo which will hopefully inspire your own creations.
To make these samples I used the following products:-
I created two A2 panels of a pastel peachy pink cardstock from my stash. With one I die cut using the Sparkly Flakes Cover Die and with the other I first die cut with the Signature Tags Die Set and then again with the Sparkly Flakes Cover Die so that both card and tag would match.
I die cut sparkling silver cardstock and white cardstock using the two dies from the Snowflake Layering Die. I adhered them together and then to the card and tag.
I stamped the images from Falala Friends and coloured the images with the following Copic marker combinations:-
Dog – E44, E43, E41, C5, C3, C1, C0
Pig – E11, E02, E00, R000, C5, C3, C1, C0
Bunny – E34, E31, E41, E40, W00, C5, C3, C1, C0
Mint – G00, BG11, BG000, C3, C1, C0
Red – R39, R29, R27
Brown – E44, E43, E41
The images were highlighted and detailed with a a white gel pen and then die cut using the coordinating dies and I arranged and adhered them to their respective backgrounds using dimensional foam tape.
To finish, I stamp the little ‘falala’ sentiment that is included in the Falala Friends stamp set. I die cut the word and then continued to die cut several more times from white cardstock and glued those die cuts in stack and then to the gift tag. I used the same technique with the Seasons’s Greetings sentiment which was taken from Christmas Sentiments and this too was adhered in place.
Lastly, I added a selection of different sized sparkling clear sequins to the card and tag. I backed the tag with another white die cut to strengthen it and give it a writing surface and threaded toning ribbon through the punched hole. With the card I decided to round the corners with a little tool that I have, I backed the panel with white craft foam and adhered it to a sturdy white card base.
I sincerely hope you enjoyed reading how I made this fun duo and I’m pleased to say that I will be back next Wednesday on the ASD blog with another guest post. Happy crafting friends!
Nicky
