Fabulous Flamingos and Joyful Rainbows

Hi crafty friends! Lien here with another rainbow card, this time using the Joyful Rainbow Stencil set and the adorable Paradise Birds stamp set.

Usually I start making a card with no real plan of where to go with it, but this time I had a very clear vision: pink. I wanted to give this fabulous flamingo the pink rainbow of her dreams. I started out by stamping the flamingo from the Paradise Birds stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black ink using my Misti stamping tool.

I colored her in with my Ohuhu alcohol brushmarkers (watch the video below for all the marker combinations). Once that was done I put it back in my Misti and stamped it again with Versafine Onyx Black ink. I added Clear Gloss embossing powder to it and heatset that to create a nice glossy outline for my image. I die cut the flamingo using the coordinating dies

For my background I stenciled the tall rainbow from the Joyful Rainbow layering stencils in various shades of pink and orange onto a piece of white cardstock. Once that was done, I die cut it out using the Nested Scalloped Frames die set. I propped the panel up on a piece of cardboard on my cream cardbase. Before adhering the flamingo, I also added a sentiment from the Bright & Bubbly die set, layered with 2 layers of white cardstock behind a gold glitter layer for extra dimension. With that in place, I adhered the flamingo on foam tape.
