Exploring the Versatility of Digital Stamps | Creating a Focal Point and a Background |Video

Hello everyone! Bonnie here with a card featuring digital stamps from Alex Syberia Design’s May release. The Cute Doll and Wedding Bird (Fiancee) are so adorable! I love how versatile digital stamps are easily transformed into a background and a focal point for your card!

I ink blended a 81/2” by 11” sheet of Bristol Smooth card stock with Distress Oxide inks; Carved Pumpkin, Picked Raspberry, Worn Lipstick, Spiced Marmalade and Squeezed Lemonade. The panel was stencilled with Simon Says Stamp’s Tumbling Hearts stencil in Spun Sugar. The background, created with both the Cute Doll and Wedding Bird images, was printed on the ink blended panel and die cut with the 2nd largest die in Pinkfresh Studio’s Slim Stitched Rectangles.

The feature doll image was printed on Neenah Classic Crest 80lb card stock and COPIC
coloured:
• Hat/Bear – E47, 43, 41
• Hair – Y21, 28, E47
• Skin – E33, 53, 02
• Shirt/Large Flower – YR04,02, 01, 00
• Skirt/Socks/Small Flower – RV000, 34,32
• Shoes – C10

The 3 3/4” by 8 3/4” card base was made from Neenah Desert Storm card stock. Brown card stock was die cut with the largest die from Pinkfresh Studio’s Slim Stitched Rectangle die set and adhered to the card base. The ink blended panel and doll were mounted on black foam and layered on the card base.

Lawn Fawn’s Friends sentiment was die cut from both matte gold card stock and black foam and stacked. The secondary sentiment from Simon Says Stamp’s Loving You From Afar was stamped with Carved Pumpkin on a scrap of the ink blended panel and embossed with clear embossing powder. The sentiment strip was cut with Simon Says Stamp’s Sentiment Labels die set. This sentiment was also mounted on foam.

The frill on the skirt and the heart shaped mouth was highlighted with Nuvo Glitter Drops White Blizzard. Dot detail was added to the skirt with Nuvo Crystal Drops Simply White. The centre of the flowers was highlighted with Crystal Drops Sugared Almond. The doll’s eyes and the bear’s eyes and nose were defined with Ebony Black drops. Iridescent white sequins topped off with Crystal Drops Morning dew complete the card.
