Endless Hearts LOVE Card

Well hello there, this is Nicky with you today on the Alex Syberia Designs blog and I’m sharing a LOVE card that was created using predominantly products from the recent February release.  Here’s a list of links to what I’ve used from the shop:-

Penguin Love

Penguin Love Die

Endless Hearts Die

Love & XOXO Die Set

Good Day Quilted Rectangles Die Set

The card started with a white A2 panel of cardstock which I die cut using the Quilted Rectangles.  I then used the new Endless Hearts Die to die cut 5 shades of pastel cardstock and then I reformed the pieces into a heart, glueing each one down in turn on some cardstock which I then trimmed to the outer edge with scissors.  All of the remaining heart sizes not used in this project were retained for a future project.

I adhered the heart to the background panel  popped up on foam tape and then die cut the word LOVE using the Love & XOXO Die.  I offset white letters behind the charcoal top letters for a highlight and glued them to the heart.

I stamped the images from Penguin Love in black ink and coloured with the following Copic markers:-

Penguins – T6, T5, T4, T3, T1, C3, C1, C00, YR09, YR04, Y19

I then added a shade of pastel to each penguin using – BG11, B00, RV10 and Y21

Images were die cut using the coordinating dies and then before applying them to the scene I came in with some Copic markers to match my pastel heart and ground the penguins with some soft and pretty stripes.  I then adhered them with foam tape.

To complete the card I stamped and die cut the smaller sentiment and applied that with more foam tape and I grabbed my white gel pen and set about highlighting the bold letters and areas on the penguins and heart.

Thank you all for reading the blog today, I hope you’re inspired and I will be back next Saturday with something new to share with you.  Happy crafting!

Nicky
