Hi crafty friends! Lien here with another bright floral card using the Create Your Own Happy stamp set and some fun Catherine Pooler inks.
For this card I started out by stamping the foliage images from the Create Your Own Happy set in Versafine Onyx Black ink and I embossed them with WOW Clear Gloss Super Fine embossing powder to add a glossy shine to them. I die cut them with the coordinating dies.
These black leaves are going to really make the colors on this card pop. To make some beautiful bright flowers, I’m using the Tiki Torch ink and inking up the stamps halfway. I use a cloth to dab away the harsh edge of the ink and then stamp it. Using a Misti for this is very helpful.
Then I ink the other half of the stamps up with Party Dress and do the same thing: dab away the harsh edge with a cloth and then stamp it. You want the colors to overlap a little bit. I used the coordinating dies again to cut the images out.
For my background I used the Fancy Background Cover Die and taped off the edges so I could blend some Aquatini ink in the center. I propped the background up on some strips of foam tape, arranged my flowers and leaves and added the die cut Smile sentiment to finish it up.
