Don’t Worry, Beach Happy

Hello, my crafty friends!! I hope this finds you all well!! Brenda here with a fun card featuring one of the darling penguins from the Pengu-tastic Holiday Stamp Set, along with a few other goodies from the latest Sunkissed Memories Release!!

I began by stamping the penguin, coconut and palm tree from the Pengu-tastic Holiday Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Copic-friendly black ink. I colored them with Copics, added highlights with a white gel pen, then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out.

I die-cut one of the tags in the Signature Tags Die Set from white cardstock and blended Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Inks for the sand and Tumbled Glass for the sky. I splattered the sand with water, picked up the excess with a paper towel, then splattered it with diluted Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink.  Once it was dry, I added a bit of sheer polka-dot ribbon the the top.

Next, I blended Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Inks onto a panel of white cardstock using the Seaside Swirls Stencil. I used the largest rectangle die in the Nested Scalloped Frames Die Set to cut it out, then adhered it to an A2 card base. The scalloped rectangle was die-cut from blue cardstock using a scalloped die from the same set. I blended the same Distress Oxide Inks that I  used on the background, with the darkest on the outside of the panel. The tag was popped up in the center of the panel with foam tape.

The sentiment, from the Sunkissed Memories Stamp Set, was white heat embossed onto black cardstock, then cut out with the Coordinating Die. The palm tree was adhered with liquid glue, while the penguin and sentiment were popped up with foam tape.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!! Have a wonderful weekend and I’ll see you next Saturday!!

Brenda
