DIY Shaker Ornament

Hello crafty friends!  It’s Amanda Fitterer and today I’m here to share with you how I made this DIY Shaker Ornament!

First, I’m going to create my shaker circle!  I have die cut two circles from the Timeless Blooms Celebration Die Set and the smaller circle from the Nested Stitched Circle Die Set.

I’ve ink blended the circle with Catherine Pooler’s Cotton Candy ink and now I’m spreading Hero Paste through the Confetti Stencil Set. Before it dries, I’m going to add some glitter dust and pat it down gently with my fingers.

Doesn’t it look so pretty?

Next, I have stamped and colored in my images from the Collecting Memories stamp set.

Now we’re ready to assemble the shaker!  I’ve used a hole punch to create a hole on the circle to put some twine.  I’ve sprinkled some sequins on the inside.  I’ve used double sided tape to adhere my acetate sheet to the back of my open circle.  And finally, I’ve added 3D foam tape around the entire outside.

After adding my twine and images with 3D foam tape, I’ve also added a little bow from the Timeless Blooms Celebration Die Set!  Now it’s time to shake, shake, shake!

I  hope you find some time to get crafty today and that this post inspired you to make something fun!

Xx, Amanda
