Cindy Lou’s Poppies on Vellum

Hi crafty friends! Lien here with a rainbow card and my favorite no-coloring way to use outline stamps.

For this card I stamped two flowers from the Cindy Lou’s Poppies stamp set on vellum with Versamark ink. I added white embossing powder and carefully heatset it. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

I did a lot of die cutting for this card, I also diecut the Classic Foliage from white glitter cardstock and then for my background I diecut the Modern Stripes cover plate once from white cardstock and each individual stripe from some colored cardstock, making sure to keep things in the rainbow order I wanted.

To assemble the background, I adhered the white diecut on some white copy paper and then added in all the colored stripes. I trimmed the background down, added cardboard to the back for some sturdy dimension and adhered it on my cardbase. I added all the foliage with liquid adhesive. I glued the stacked hugs die cut from the Love and Hugs die set on top of the flowers before adhering them to the card so I could hide foam tape pieces behind the die cut, that way the flowers are dimensional.

I finished it off with some silver pearls and that’s it! You can see the entire process in today’s video below.
