Christmas Postage Stamps

Happy Wednesday everyone, this is Nicky with you today and I have a postage style Christmas card to share with you.  This card was created using the following Alex Syberia Designs products:-

Christmas Postage Stamps

Postage Stamps Cover Die

Postage Stamps Stencil

Pretty Bows Die Set

I die cut a white panel of cardstock using the Postage Stamps Cover Die.  Over this I layered the Postage Stamps Stencil and using Speckled Egg and Festive Berries Distress Oxide Inks, I softly ink blended the colours to a fade in each of the four sections.

Next step was to use the Christmas Postage Stamps stamp set.  I transferred the panel to my Misti and reapplied the Stencil and then I stamped all of the images using the same Distress Oxide Inks as before but with the addition of Iced Spruce which I used to stamp the fir trees.  By using the Misti I was able to easily repeat stamp until I had lovely bold and crisp images.

I backed the finished panel with foam tape, applied it to an A2 white panel of cardstock and then this was glued to a slightly larger panel of shimmering green cardstock from their Mystic Garden Mix Cardstock Pack.  This was then all glued to a prepared card base.

For the final steps, I repeatedly dipped a stylus into white acrylic paint and dotted in all of the white snow which is slightly dimensional and really adds a little winter magic.  Last but not least I felt like it needed just a little something more and I opted to use the Pretty Bows Die Set to die cut twice from sturdy white cardstock (I glued these to together) and again in red cardstock and I adhered that one at a slight angle to the white and then the whole thing was added to the centre of the card.

Many thanks for stopping by the blog today, I hope you enjoyed my card and are inspired to make your own.  I’ll be back next Wednesday with something new to share.  Happy crafting!

Nicky
