Celebrating With A Floral Balloon Extravaganza

Hi friends. It’s Bobbi Lemanski (@BobbiHartDesign) here with a birthday card featuring the new Floral Balloon Extravaganza stamp set and coordinating dies. This Alex Syberia Designs stamp set is not just another balloon set. It’s balloons, florals, stripes and so much more! Use one, two or a whole bunch for a festive and fresh birthday card.

For this 5″ X 7″ card, I paired these pretty balloons with the Carnival Party Stencil and Die set. The two-tone stenciled streamers are the perfect background for these decorated balloons. I used Spun Sugar and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide Inks by Ranger for my streamers on the card front. I stamped the balloons using fast-drying black dye ink and then colored the balloons using my Copic Sketch Markers. I used light pinks, blues and yellows to color in the balloons and brighter and more saturated colors for the flowers. I wanted the balloons to look transparent and the flowers to look opaque.

Using my Copic Markers, I added confetti to the balloons in soft colors. Both balloons were attached to the front panel using foam tabs to make them stand out. I added more confetti to the background to match. Light colored pearl gem stickers were also added for dimension. Lastly, I stamped the balloon strings and the “happy birthday” sentiment on the front panel and attached the card front to an A7 white card base.
