Celebrate in Color!

Hello crafty friends! Summer is about bright colors and waves of water so what better design to use now then the  Abstract Background Press Plate.  This is such an easy and very pleasing card to make. It’s fresh and fun all in one! My 5″ X 7″ card features the following Alex Syberia Designs products:

Abstract Background Press Plate

Abstract Background Stencil Set

Classic Sentiments Press Plate & Die Set

Trendy Botanicals Dies

The card base is made from white cardstock. I used Neenah 80lb Classic Crest Solar White cardstock cut 10″ wide X 7″ tall and scored down the middle.

To create this card, I started by using the Abstract Background Press Plate and black ink. I printed the design and used the Abstract Background Stencil Set to color the waves in orange and pink. I used Distress Oxide Inks in Picked Raspberry and Carved Pumpkin along with a blender brush.  I applied the ink darker to lighter in color on the waves so that the dimension of the waves shows even more. With the waves pattern background done, I attached it to my 5″ X 7″ white card base, leaving a 1-1/4″ border below the pattern.

Next, I die cut the flowers, leaves and stems using the Trendy Botanicals Dies, from white and pink cardstock. For the sentiment, “Celebrate,” I printed the word using the Classic Sentiments Press Plate & Die Set and black ink. I attached the flower and word towards the bottom of the waves background and glued everything in place.
