CARNIVAL PARTY BIRTHDAY CARD

Hello everyone, I hope you are enjoying a lovely weekend.  This is Nicky with you on the Alex Syberia Designs blog today and I’m sharing a birthday card that was created using the Carnival Party Stencil & Die Set.   This card also showcases the Birthday & Wish Die Set and the Good Day Quilted Rectangles Die Set.

As they so often do, this card started as a white A2 panel of cardstock.   I used the streamer ribbon images from the the Carnival Party stencil set and ink blended using inks from The Stamp Market in Sea Glass, Fresh Pink and Dijon.  I removed the stencil and used more of the Sea Glass ink to blend a fade from the top down to about half way and at the sides.

I framed out this panel using the two dies from the Good Day Quilted set.  I added the white frame popped up on dimensional foam tape and glued to the card base that I’d prepared.

I then used the same ink colours and again used the Carnival Party stencil and I created the party pinwheel images which I die cut after ink blending.  I adhered two of them with regular dimensional foam tape and then with the one at the bottom I applied that with an extra thick dimensional foam tape.

Time for the finishing touches.  First of all I used the Birthday & Wish Die Set to die cut the word ‘birthday’.  I ink blended some white cardstock to fade from pink to yellow then I die cut the word.  I continued to die cut the word three more times from white cardstock and I glued them in a stack then to the card background.  I sourced the word ‘happy’ from another Alex Syberia Designs stamp set and I stamped it in subtle ‘greige’ ink on pink cardstock and adhered with foam tape at a playful angle.

Lastly, I applied some ‘Splash Drops’ for pretty little accents.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope my card has inspired you create.

Nicky
